Hold a key, dictate, and the text lands wherever your cursor is —in Notion, in the terminal, in an email— with the filler words gone and the commas in place. Nothing you say leaves your Mac.
Version 1.4.0 · 6.5 MB · Intel and Apple Silicon · requires macOS 26
What it does
Every dictation app writes down what it hears. The work starts after that: taking out the «uh», putting in the commas, and dropping the half-sentence you corrected mid-thought. VoiceFlow does that before the text reaches the screen, and it does it on your Mac.
01 · The gesture
Hold it down, talk, let go. The text appears where your cursor was, in whatever app you happen to be in — no plugins and no integrations.
02 · Polish
In the terminal you want exactly what you said. In an email you want it to read well. VoiceFlow remembers which level you use in each app and applies it on its own.
03 · Corrections
Talking isn't writing. You stumble, you say a time and change it halfway through. When you mark the correction, VoiceFlow keeps the good version and drops the other — before anything is typed, not after.
04 · Translator
Select text in any app, press the shortcut, and a small panel shows the translation. Copy it, or replace the original in place.
It runs on your Mac too: the language pack downloads once and never again.
05 · Your words
Proper nouns, acronyms, jargon, your client's surname. You tell it once and they always come out exactly as you spelled them, however the speech engine hears them.
06 · The engine
By default VoiceFlow uses the speech engine macOS 26 already ships with. That's why the download is 6.5 MB and it dictates from the first minute: nothing to fetch.
Whisper is there too, switched off, for anyone who wants it. It raises accuracy and it raises the weight — and it also runs on your Mac.
Privacy
The transcription is done by the system's own speech engine, and the cleanup by rules and the language model macOS already ships with. There is no server of ours in the middle: neither the audio nor the text is sent anywhere, and VoiceFlow works the same with no connection.
That isn't a promise on a web page. It's how it's built: the code that would send anything doesn't exist. The app has no accounts and no telemetry — we don't know how many people use it, what they dictate, or when. This site counts visits, without cookies and without identifying anyone, which is why it never asked you to accept anything.
How dictation works on a Mac with no internet, and how it compares to the dictation macOS already has, to Wispr Flow and to Superwhisper.
Pricing
The free plan isn't a crippled version or a trial that breaks: it's one of the three polish levels, complete, for good.
The licence
The licence is tied to your iCloud account, so it works on every device of yours and on nobody else's. It's checked offline: VoiceFlow never asks anyone for permission to run.
Before you start
macOS will ask for two permissions, and it's worth knowing why: the microphone, so it can hear you, and Accessibility, which is the only way macOS lets an app type inside another one. It doesn't ask for screen recording, and it never will.
